I don’t know what qualifies something as a quick road trip, but since I make my own rules, we’ll call what just happened this weekend a quick road trip. A drive down to the south Georgia coast for a wedding meant one night on Jekyll Island, a bathroom stop at a Piggly Wiggly, a breakfast at Denny’s and multiple McDonald’s coffees. Guys, we adventure so hard. And because I’m such a hella experienced adventurer and traveler in the South Georgia region, I feel compelled to give you a few South Georgia traveling tips…

Tip #1: If you’re the kind of person who has to ever pee at all (basically, if you’re breathing), don’t take Hwy 278.

Tip #2: Also, don’t take Hwy 278 if you’re driving at night.

Tip #3: Don’t take Hwy 278.

Tip #4: If you completely ignore my first three tips and find yourself on Hwy 278, stop at the Piggly Wiggly when you have to pee. Because you will have to pee. And Piggly Wiggly will be the only place open. The Piggly Wiggly people are nice. I’m not going to tell you about the bathrooms. You shouldn’t have taken Hwy 278 anyway.

Tip #5: When you finally find yourself back in civilization, you will surely need another cup of coffee. You will only find the sweet nectar of Heaven at a McDonald’s or a gas station. At that point, it shall no longer be referred to as the nectar of Heaven. Please drink responsibly.
